So, I stumbled across this little gem while in the Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Beverly Hills. While most of the information is quickly learned if you simply work in Hollywood for a little while, this book can definitely give you an advantage if you’re just starting out in the business. The first third of the book includes information about getting started in Hollywood, which is good to know for ANYONE trying to get started in the industry. The last two-thirds is designed more for assistants and future power-players, as the title suggests. But for whatever you’re trying to do, take a look at this. I’ve posted the first 45 pages, courtesy of Scribd.com, but if you like it, it’s pretty cheap for a good reference to Hollywood film culture.
